electrical circuit

To learn electrical circuit at first we should to know about current and voltage
You have learned that if you connect a length of wire or a conductor across the positive and negative terminals of a source of electromotive force (emf) let say, a battery, the potential difference (voltage) makes the current flow and also that electrical energy is needed to keep the current flowing.

Any combination of a conductor and a source of electricity connected together to permit the
electrons to travel around a continuous stream is called electric circuits.

open circuit
there are two types of electrical circuit

1.open circuit:here has an figure at right side show an open circuit.this circuit a voltage source, light and a switch connected with series combination.but what is happen in this circuit.we can see that the light will not active because we didn't closed the switch.this is open circuit.

short/closed circuit
2.short/closed circuit:here also show an closed circuit at the right position.here we also use voltage source, light and a switch.but what the difference between this two type of figure it is clear that for first figure switch is open but the second figure we see the switch is closed.now what is happen in this circuit?the lamp will be active that means this light give brightness.this is short/closed circuit.
